Captain's Log... Meanwhile...

Yep, I got a few.

The unit this week is anther devistator squad with parts ordered from Forge World. I originally had a 'sergeant' with a 'halberd' type of weapon but built a couple of guys so the only 'halberds' in my list are actually power weapons.

I managed to work on my landspeeder and a 'chooser of the slain' marker but for some reason I can't get the lighting correct tonight. I'm not happy with the pictures but wanted to update just to do something and relax.

As expected... more pictures of grey plastic painted grey...

Captain's Log... Count This!...

One, one costume!

Distracted by this...

A civil discussion in other parts of the interwebz is transpiring about count-as stuff which is very cool and the fact that the discussion is civil is cool too!

Now, since I 'count-as' space wolves (The First Legion)  a couple of my guys have 'mark of the wolfen'. Let's go down the rabbit hole a bit and see where it leads...

Captain's Log... Stay on Target...

Family, work, hobby... keeping to a schedule is key with anything you do regardless of how you hobby.

Work though is really  interfering with my hobby time! :P I jest of course...

As promised from yesterday I have more pictures of my progress while I get ready for Adepticon 2012. I also managed to get an additional/alternate model painted.

Captain's Log... Set in Stone...

Inprogress

Here is a candid shot of my display board inprogress... miniatures this week tomorrow. I now return you to your regularly scheduled lurking in other corners the interwebz!

Captain's Log... Devastators done...

Unweldy, quarky, and it's just so fantastic!

In my continuing efforts to get ready for April I have completed another squad of beakies but this time it is the old RTB Missle Launchers and a metal sergeant who was one of the first models I painted.

I'm hoping that this week I will have another sqaud finsished, some more progress on the display board, and some work on my speeder.

The pictures are after the break...

Captain's Log... Practice, Practice, Practice...

Losing is suppose to build character... right!?

Just a couple of random shots after the break that turned out from the Adepticon primer held at FTW games, home to Spikey bits, yesterday.

The down and dirty is that I got my [insert expletive] handed to me yet again. Losing is suppose to build character but when you are losing two of every three games it gets a little, teansy, weansy, itty, bitty... old.

I'm down but not out.

The fellows over at a Space Wolves blog are trying to get something going after several months of inactivity. I follow them privately and have found many of their articles 'food for thought'.

The Space Wolves are looking for writers and have a raffle going. I suggest you press the link and take a look for yourself. As a community we do what we can when we can.

I'll be in other corners playing with rocks...

Captain's Log... Sunday Morning...

Half is better then a quarter!

I ran of rocks so... no problem.

Only a picture of this today since I have been distracted this week and have blown off the guys... it's still hobby related and that's the point. I often have to tell myself  to 'do something!' It doesn't matter what path we take as long as we get to the destination we chose.

Thanks for stopping,

Captain's Log... Deliverance...

Exterminatus

Here is an intro to a new story I'm forming in my mind. After the break you can read it.

Thanks for looking in advance... I'll be in the corner painting...

Captain's Log... Scouts Out!

Two shots of the completed 'scouts'. The second is after the break. Enjoy!
