Captain's Log... Choices...

Adepticon has filled my evenings in front of the picter thingy for so long I now have no clear purpose.

Leading up to the 'con' I had a clear plan of build, test, paint, and generally prepare in no particular order other then to have my 'guys' painted. I wasn't going to win any awards but it would be painted better then some!

Captain's Log... More Adepticon Pictures...

Adepticon 2012

After the break are candid shots taken at Adepticon.

My thoughts on my first Adepticon or GT for that matter are that the people are great and well organized. Even when I was getting my ass handed to me. I went 1 - 2 - 1 for the weekend in the champion event my opponent was not 'that guy'. My goal was to win one and I almost won two but will not dwell on that experience which I have lightly commented upon in another blog. It's not positive for me nor the hobby.

It went quick. Two hours and fifteen minutes is plenty of time for games but you have to know what you are doing. My phrase for the event is 'The Quick and the Dead". Those that made it to the final rounds were the quick while the rest of us were the dead... or drunk by Saturday night!

Captain's Log... Adepticon 2012...

Adepticon 2012

I'm leaving tomorrow, the 'dudes' have been painted, the booze has been bought, the rooms reserved, and the display board elements came back from the airbrushers...

Captain's Log... In the home stretch...

M113A2

Many moons ago I drove these while serving in the army (A 1's, 2's, and 3's). I've painted some too... it sucks.

Captain's Log... Last but not least...

Welcome to another installment of "Grey Paint on Grey Plastic". After the break we have a huge picture of grey followed by some smaller pictures of grey. Did I mention the color grey?
